Thursday 7th October at 7pm residents had an opportunity to put questions direct to the Gatwick Airport management team concerning plans to rebuild the emergency runway as a second runway*.
Senior management agreed to attend and take questions from the virtual floor of residents on the night as Gatwick continue to consult on whether they should be permitted to have two runways to be used on a regular basis.
Speakers joining Gatwick Airport were Friends of the Earth and Aviation Environment Federation.
Residents were invited to submit questions before the event via cagnegatwick@gmail.com or on the night.
The chair put questions to each panelist.
East Sussex Member of Parliament and chair of the Transport Select Committee, Huw Merriman, was invited to attend.
