This map shows the geographical distribution of noise around the airport during the day. Note LEQ is NOT the maximum noise of an individual aircraft movement (this is LMax) but an average of all noise over a 12 hour period. This noise metric is questionable as to its validity but is currently used in the UK by Government and the aircraft industry.
